If the boycott at Rappahannock County High School lasts through Friday as expected, it will end just in time for Rappahannock students to join with approximately 27 million youngsters in 91,000 schools across the country to celebrate National School Lunch Week, October 12-18.
Rappahannock schools and other systems participating in the National School Lunch Program will serve a universal menu featuring beef tacos and other Mexican favorites. Mable Burke will join with cafeteria coordinators across the country in conducting special activities to promote lunch programs.
In addition, parents are invited to enjoy a school lunch with their children during National School Lunch Week. Cafeteria personnel will be available to answer questions regarding
