of bulk gasoline storage tanks.

The school board voted unanimously on Tuesday to install a 10,000 gallon tank for regular gasoline at the bus garage, provided the supervisors allocate additional funds for the project.

With the new storage tank, the board will realize a savings of approximately IV2 cents per gallon of gasoline, according to Bloomer. The extra capacity added to the existing tanks—two 1,000 gallon and one 275 gallon—will provide approximately a 30 day supply and. according to Dr. Bloomer, will alleviate delivery problems encountered in the past. The superintendent explained that difficulties were encountered last year with the current three-day storage capacity when Nish North, the school's fuel supplier, was unable to deliver gas on the days it was needed by the schools. As a result, he said, buses were forced to fill up for a day’s run with more expensive, unleaded gas after the regular tanks ran dry.
