Mrs. tfena Corbin, lrva Poe, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Poe and Theresa were recent visitors of Mrs. Violet Welch in Arlington. They were accompanied by Mrs. Hester Riley who visited Mrs. H. H. Ester Jr., a patient in Fairfax Hospital.
Mrs. Bertha Newcombe of Richmond was a weekend guest of Mrs. Julia Poe. They were joined for dinner Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. Alan Poe of Warrenton. Mrs. Frances Thorn of Valley Lee, Md. was an overnight visitor Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Powell and family of New Hampshire are spending this week with Mrs. Powell’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray T. Cannon.
Mrs. Sarah Latham had as dinner guests Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. John Peck and grandson Ashley Peck of Spotsylvania, Mrs. Elizabeth Streagle and Shannon and Bob Baines. The previous weekend Mrs. Latham and the Streagle family attended a performance of Fiddler on the Roof in Washington, D. C.
Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Riley were Mr. and Mrs. Amos Walter of Warrenton. The Rileys were recent visitors of Mrs. Paul Newtort, Michelle and Darrin hft Brightwood. - Robert Priest, a student at VPI, Blacksburg, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Priest.
Gospel Singing
The Rev. Edward Jenkins of Washington, the Blue Grass Gosepl Boys and other musical groups will present a program Saturday, October 18. at 1 p.m. at the Rappahannock Recreation Center near Washington. The public is invited.
