"We're covered on that," replied Luke, claiming that the building inspection department created earlier this year by the supervisors satisfies the state requirement for an inspector. The department, however, is neither funded nor staffed to date and exists solely on paper.
Luke told the board there are two ways to go on organizing an inspection program: either charge homeowners per inspection visit or set fees based on square footage and' type of construction.
