Claude Carter, 72, of Culpeper died Wednesday, May 6,1981 at his residence.
funeral services were held Saturday it Amissville Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph Stirman. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Carter was a retired carpenter and a native of Warren County. He was the son of the late Carroll and Ida Alexander Carter. He was a member and former deacon of Amissville Baptist Church,! and was a member of Local 132 of the Carpenters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Erma Gilliam Carter; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Poe of Clifton and Mrs. Virginia Settle of Falls Church; one brother, Roy Carter of Amissville; three grandchildren and one greatgrandson.
