“This is legal but it’s not right.” maintained Eastham after the motion to approve the Miller-Reeve plan was made and seconded. “We’re voting cuts that are for the employees only and nothing for these children!"
“It allows us to operate within the appropriation approved by the supervisors,” Miller emphasized. "There’s nothing unethical or immoral about it. It’s in the best interests of education in Rappahannock County.”
The vote on the MillerReeve package was approved 3-1 with Lane abstaining and Eastham opposed.
