I he Holmstrom Dance Company will present a dance concert with special guests, the Delaware State Ballet, on Saturday May 16th at 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday May 17th at 3:00 p.m. at the Wayside Theater in Middletown, Virginia.
The Holmstrom Dance Company was founded last year by Linda Holmstrom Watkins who now serves as the company’s managing artistic director. Mrs. Watkins brings extensive professional experience as a dancer and choreographer to the new company. She was formerly a principal dancer with imtnl major companies including the Grands Ballets Canadians. She also danced the principal roles in many nationally televised dance specials. .
Mrs. Watkins founded the company to bring performance-level dance to the Shenandoah Valley and to offer talented amateur dancers an opportunity to train and perform in a company atmosphere. Although only one year old. the company has already performed in five area counties and has recently participated in a “Dance Gala" in Delaware.
