Our tax dollars are providing the funds for Virginia’s block grant from the Federal Government. We as citizens have an opportunity to call attention to the importance of our local rescue squads and to request continued State support of emergency medical services.
We can help by sending an informal letter or a note on a postcard to Governor John Dalton, Commonwealth of Virginia, Governor’s Office, State Capitol, Richmond, Virginia 23219. Only in this way can Governor Dalton be made aware of our concern and , ■ appreciation for Virginia’* : volunteer rescue squads.

Settle Reunion
The families of the late Harry and Rosie Wharton Settle will have their reunion, Saturday, September 12, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Rappahannock Recreation Center near Washington. Family members and friends are urged to attend and bring a covered dish.
