The Sperryville Brewers took title to the championship trophy in the Rappahannock Slow Pitch Softball League’s annual spring round robin tournament held Saturday and Sunday in Sperryville.
In compiling four victories against only one defeat in tournament play, the Brewers upset the defending state “C” champions, downing the Rappahannock Rebels, 11-6. The Rebels finished second with the Federline Hawks in third.
