The Culpeper office of Rappahannock Legal Services has reduced its staff from five to two persons effective April 15, 1982, as a result of substantial cuts in federal funding.

The local legal aid office has provided free civil legal assistance to low-income residents in the five counties of Planning District 9 since opening its doors in October, 1980.
