The mile medley relay team of Robert Starks, Jeff Porter, Eugene Grigsby and Larry Sisk won their heat and finished third in the overall event in 4:08. The two mile relay contingent—David Dodson, Scott Keithley, Elwood Dodson and Ronnie Atkins—did not place but their time of 9:41 broke the old RCHS mark.
Last Chance
For A Team Boys who want to play pony league ball for the Amissville team will have one last chance to sign up this weekend. Interested young men, 16-18 years old, should call Hermon Gatterbuck at 347-3560 before Sunday evening to register. If there isn't sufficient response, there won’t be a team this year, according to coach Gatterbuck.
