Instead, be ruled that the defendant’s statement was voluntary and the waiver of rights knowingly and intelligently executed, denying the request that the confession be suppressed.
Petty Larceny
In other cases heard Thursday, Ronald Lee Gheen, Larry. Dawson and Eddy Lowe, all of Fauquier County, pleaded guilty to petty larceny charges arising front the theft of items from Steve L. Kellison's residence in Antissville.
The commonwealth’s attorney reported that all items have been returned, adding that he would endorse recommendations on sentence made by the probation officer.
Noting that none of the defendants has prior records, Robertson set sentence at 12 months in jail. then suspended the time and placed the three on 12 months supervised probation. In addition, he ordered Gheen, Dawson and Lowe to pay court costs within 30 days.
In a probation revocation hearing, the judge gave Russell Leonard Jordan of Front Royal until June 17 to pay a $130 balance due on court costs and extended his probation until June 30. Jordan was convicted of grand larceny in 1976.
