Mrs. Myrtle Spahn from Baltimore, Md. has arrived to spend a week with her son-in-law and daughter, the Rev. and Mrs. Merlin Shorb.

The Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the United Methodist Church met on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Moe Walker with fifteen members present. Mrs. Barbara Gentry led the group in the “World Day of Prayer Service”.

Mrs. Paul Miller entertained the Washington Bridge Club and additional guests at her home on Tuesday, March 22. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. George Davis, Mrs. D. L. Price, Mrs. W. A. Moore, Mrs. Robert Eastham and Mrs. Frank Spalding. Also playing were Mrs. Rayner Snead, Mrs-.'Henry Keyser and Mrs. E. M. Jones.

Mrs. Paul Nichols and Leslie attended the Gardner-Curry wedding at Woodstock on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Nichols attended the Shenandoah County Area Council Scouter Recognition dinner in Winchester on Thursday.

Curtis Vest of Longwood College spent from Friday until Sunday visiting Allen Vest and his grandmothers, Mrs. Christine Vest here, and Mrs. John Dodson of Sperry ville.

The Woodville Homemakers Club will meet at the church on Tuesday evening April 5, at 7:30 p.m. The topic will be Tole Painting.
