Miss Deane, a 1979 graduate of West Springfield High School, will graduate in June from V.P.I. with a B.A. in communications.
Mr. Wayland graduated from Rappahannock High School in 1976, and from V.P.I. in 1982 with a B.S. in psychology. Mr. Wayland is currently a manager with the ARA Corporation.
An August wedding is planned.
