The first half of the 198283 season of the Old Dominion Hunt was given the bast hunting in decades.

In fact, concensus of opinion in the Old Dominion territory has it our best chasing since the fabled “good old days” that have acquired an Elysian glow in the memoirs of those who rode with the dashing Sterling Larrabee, founder of the Old Dominion Hounds in 1931.

This high caliber of foxhunting is felt to be due to a fortuitous synthesis of the time: the Masters, the Hunstman, the Whippersin, the pack, a well tended country and a strong fox population.
