Wesley Raymond Weakley, 78, of Winchester, died Saturday, March 26, 1983, in Staunton.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester by the Rev. William Anthony Layman and Rev. David T. Hampton. Burial was in the Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester.
Mr. Weakley was bom January 25, 1905, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Joseph Amos and Sarah Ellen Woodward Weakley. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Holiday Inns as a maintenance engineer. He formerly worked for the Virginia Wollen Mill in Winchester for 47 years. He was a member of the Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Winchester and the Modem Woodmen of America.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Larrick Weakley; two daughters, Kathleen Lemley of Christiansburg and Arlene Slaughter of Winchester; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Raymond Moore
Resident of Amissville
Funeral services for Raymond Moore of Amissville were conducted Saturday at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church by the Rev. George Bailey. Burial was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Moore, 76, died Wednesday, March 23, 1983, at the Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary Young of Washington, D.C. and many other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Joynes Funeral Home in Warrenton.
