Marion Russell Oliver, 76, of Front Royal, died Monday, March 28, 1983, in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday in the chapel of the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by Dr. Milton Wright. Burial was in Rockland Cemetery.
Mr. Oliver was bom July 20, 1906, in Warren County, the son of the late Marvin T. and Elizabeth Cameron Oliver. He was retired from the Virginia Highway Department and was a member of the Rockland Community Church.
His wife was the late Ida Sybil Revells Oliver.
Surviving are three sons, James C. Oliver of Falls Church, Edward Oliver of Mt. Jackson and Charles Oliver of Front Royal; five daughters, Lucy Foster of Flint Hill, Helen Linaburg of Winchester, Betty Lowery of Stephens City, Eleanor Knight of Front Royal and Shirley Braithwaite of Cross Junction; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are five brothers, Lyle Oliver, Lee Oliver, Howard Oliver, Lester Oliver and Linwood Oliver, all of Front Royal and one sister, Nannie Shipe of Rockland.
Bertha Hardin

Mrs. Bertha E. Hardin, 90, died March 22, 1983, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Baton Rouge, La.
Funeral services and burial were held in Louisiana on March 24.
Mrs. Hardin was bom January 10, 1893, at Philippi, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Sylvanus Waldo and Helen Luerena Harris Zinn. She was a member of the Amissville Baptist Church. Her husband was the late Ira E. Hardin.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Lou Mayo of Baker, La.; two brothers, Curtis C. Zinn of Amissville and Carl B. Zinn of Arizona; one sister, Gladys Scott of Colorado; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A son, Ira E. Hardin, Jr. predeceased her.
