Livestock Club for five years, serving as president for 1981-82. She attended the 4-H Club Congress at Virginia tech in 1981 and 1982 and won the 4-H Showmanship award the first of those years. Amanda joined the photography club in 9th grade and was tapped for the National Honor Society in 11th grade, a group she served as secretary in her senior year. She won a 10th grade Biology award, an 11th grade typing award and a 12th grade government award. She is vicepresident of her class. Amanda is a member of the Amissville Baptist Church.
