Beekeepers Meeting

The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will have its annual picnic supper on Bed Oak Mountain on Saturday, .June IS. The public is invited.

At 5 p.m., Robert Wellemeyer, State Bee Inspector for the Northern Virginia Region, will perform a routine disease inspection, explaining what symptoms he is looking for and describing condition of-the queens and colonies.

At 5:30 p.m., there will be short business meeting, a covered dish supper, and a presentation on the “Art of Making Skeps" by Kolia E. Chandler, a beekeeper with 30 years experience. Bring your own chairs, drinks, and a covered dish to share.

Directions: From Woodville, turn east on Route 618 for V/z miles, continue straight on Route 658 for VA> miles to top of mountain. Call Lyt Wood at 675-3814 for more information.

Homemakers To Meet

The Flint Hill Extension Homemakers will meet on Tuesday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Flo Duvall.

The program on Tole Fainting is a continuation of the April meeting. Members are asked to bring the same supplies. Fatty Hottinger will be the instructor.

Ceramic Show

The Northern Virginia Ceramic Association will hold its third annual ceramic show on June 24, 25, and 26 at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry Street in Vienna.
