Charles Robert Lewis, 57, of Huntly, died Wednesday, June 1, 19X3, at Andrews Air Force Base Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Merlin Shorb. Burial was in the Flint Hill Cemetery with full military services.
Mr. Lewis was born January 29, 19215, in Washington, I). ('., son of Virginia Menefee Lewis and the late Harry F. Lewis. He was retired from U. S. Air Force, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He also served in the U. S. Navy. During his service, he was awarded the Purple Heart.
Surviving with his mother are his wife, Dorothy C. Lewis of Huntly; a stepson, Charles E. (’order, Jr. of Front Royal; one brother. Fielding M. Lewis of Front Royal and a stepgranddaughter.
Pallbearers were Nelson Nethers, Roy Jenkins, Elmer Clark, Carson Johnson, Jimmy Swindler, Ranny Aylorand Aubrey North.
