Coach Spieker came back to the mike to give state meet finisher Cindy Weaver the most valuable field competitor trophy for the senior's first year in track competition.
Most valuable field competitor honors in boys track went t-o high jumper Doyle Dunn who, coach Monty Saunders noted, had cleared
during the season. "He could do anything he really wanted to. anything he spent time on," the coach said.
"The most valuable track athlete—I met him the hard way. 1 saw this figure come leaping over the hood of my car," said Sanders of Eugene Grigsby, the outstanding RCHS sprinter who brought home two third place medals from state competition.
