Orchard - It was decided at the last orchard meeting to continue the spring series - through August. We will meet at the host orchard at 11:00 a.m. and tour the orchard with the grower and Extension fruit specialists. Please bring a bag lunch; a beverage will be provided.
The 1983 summer tour agenda is as follows; Thursday. June lbth - Rappahannock - Jens Tholand, Piedmont Farm. Wednesday. July 20th - Madison - Graves Brothers. Wednesday, August 17th - to be announced.

Wool Pool - The Rappahannock-Culpeper Area Wool Pool collection dates has been set for Wednesday, June 22. Wool should be delivered to the Culpeper Farmers’ Co-op between 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Prices paid to producers: $.4(5/lb. - clear tied; $.38/lb. - light burry and lamb; $.33/lb. - heavy burry, black, dead, and rejects; $.04/lb. - tags.
Requirements for wool preparation: (1.) Pack each grade of wool separately. (2.) Pack at least 80 lbs. in each bag. (3.) Do not use plastic bags. They will not be accepted. (4.) Use paper fleece twine only. (5.) Wool must be dry.
