A new concert series, “Masterworks” will begin September 28 at Shenandoah College and Conservatory.
The series will present four concerts this fall-the other dates are October 25, November 16 and December 7. The September 28, November 16 and December 7 concerts will take place at 7 p.m. in Goodson Hall on the Shenandoah campus. The October 25 performance will begin at 7 p.m. in the college’s Armstrong Auditorium.
The concerts will be under the artistic direction of Dr. John F. Ohl, who supervised the well-received Bach-Handel Tricentennial concert series of 1985.
The “Masterworks” presentations will follow the pattern established by the Bach-Handel series: each program will include several types of music, both instrumental and vocal, for solo performers and for ensembles.
