Dr. Ohl said this type of program proved to be very popular with audiences at the Bach-Handel concerts. “This new series,” he said, “will carry the idea of variety on each program still further by giving us outstanding works of several composers of different periods and styles on every program. The first concert will present music from the 17th through the 20th century, in works by Purcell, Mozart, Brahms and Milhaud, each for a different combination of performers.”
The concerts in the “Masterworks” series are free and open to the public.
