Mrs. Willis said that she would like to see the blueprints for the project, adding that it is her feeling that the cabin “should have french drains or wooden gutters. ”
The board approved a request from Dr. Bill Young, representing the board of the Rappahannock County, Library, to place a lamp matching the existing lights on the front walk next to the library sign. Dr. Young said that the light would be equipped with a time-delay shutoff so that the last person leaving the library would be able to see the steps. The board approved the request.
Dr. Young also informed the ARB that the library had been approached by the federal government about handicapped access to the building. He said that the solution would probably involve some type of ramp, and that “It will have to be approved. The board (of trustees) is struggling with the issue.”
