John Dodson, 18, of Woodville; and Todd A. Williams, 17, of Flint Hill; were graduated on August 21 from an eight week course of U. S. Army Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
Dodson and Williams, both members of the 94 man “Virginia National Guard 1986 Buddy Platoon,” endured record high temperatures that did not force the cancellation of basic training activities, including instruction in the use and mainte nance of a variety of infantry weapons, physical conditioning exercises and other soldiering skills.
Dodson and Williams will return to Rappahannock County High School as seniors. They will be
