Terry Meadows of Glen Bumie, Md., step-son of the late E. B. Cary, visited Mrs. Janie Pullen Sunday. Mrs. Pullen’s daughter-in-law Faye Pullen also called on her.
Mrs. Marie Rutherford and grandson Chris Martin of Front Royal were guests Sunday of Mrs. Addie Keyser and Mrs. Virginia Cloud. Donald Keyser of Alexandria visited the Keysers Monday.

Community
band seeks
musicians
The Front Royal and Warren County Community Band had a successful first rehearsal on Tuesday, September 9. Co-directors John Russell and Ed Richards were pleased with the turn out of more than 30 musicians from the local area, as well as Winchester, Frederick and Clarke counties.
In its first rehearsal, musicians, many of whom had not played in years, enjoyed performing assorted marches, light concert and show tunes. The directors were impressed with the caliber of local talent in attendance.
The Front Royal and Warren County Community Band, is sponsored by the Giles B. Cook, Post 53 of the American Legion, with rehearsal facilities provided by the Randolph-Macon Academy.
Local musicians who play, or who have played band instruments are still being sought to join the band. Local residents who are interested in the band should not be concerned about how long it has been since they have played or how well they play, but should call 636-9432 to get involved, Mr. Russell said.
