RCHS Events

September 25-Girl’s basketball teams play at Clarke County High School at 6:00 p.m.; soccer team plays at St. Anne’s Belfield School in Charlottesville at 4:45 p.m.

September 29-R.C.H.S. Citizen’s Advisory committee invites the public to an informational meeting on the proposed capital outlay program for the high school at 7:00 p.m. in the R.C.H.S. gym.

September 30-Girl’s basketball plays at Page County High School at 6:00 p.m.; soccer team hosts R.M.A. at 4:00 p.m. at the R.C.H.S. soccer field.

October 1-Cross Country team hosts Page County High School and Brentsville High School at 5:00 p.m. at the Miller farm across from Old Hollow Grocery.

Jewell makes

Dean’s List

Betsy K. Jewell of Rappahannock was named to the Dean’s List for the summer session at Germanna Community College.

A total of 713 students were enrolled at the college for the summer session. Of that number, 32 earned places on the Dean’s List and nine students achieved mention on the Honors’ List.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must have a grade point average of at least 3.2 for the summer session. To be included on the Honors’ List, a student must be attending college on a full-time basis and have completed 30 credit-hours with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5.
