Supervisor Charles Estes asked when work could begin on Route 622 in Gid Brown Hollow north of the Rediviva Bridge.
“We’ll get that section next year or the following year,” Mr. Askew said. “Assuming the increased finding stays at the same level, we’ll be able to add several projects . . . We’ve been wanting that one for some time. With your help, we can work on the right-of-way this winter,” the resident engineer told Mr. Estes. “We’ve spent very little money in that Route 622 corridor,” he acknowledged.
The secondary improvement projects added to the work list for 198687 with the receipt of the additional $232,000 include:
• Pete Tharpe Road (Rt. 622): .6 mile from west of Route 661 to Route 661 to be graded, drained, stabilized and surface treated, $66,000.
• Slate Mills Road (Rt. 707): 1.6 miles from the intersection with Route 231 to be widened and repaved, $36,000 (with $66,000 more to be spent the following year).
• Main Street in Sperryville, .2 mile to be repaved, $16,000.
• The old co-op road in Sperryville (Rt. 1003) from Route 522 to Route 211, .73 mile to be repaved, $36,086. „
