the daughter of the late Rice Edmund and Callie Wood Green.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Glennie of Annapolis, Md., and Betty Lou Hawley of Framingham, Mass., a sister Thelma Larrivee of Amissville, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 12 at the Amiss ville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Steve Parker. Interment was at the church cemetery.
Richard Leach
Master Sgt. Richard Tasker Leach, 82, of Front Royal, died Jan. 11 in Winchester Medical Center.
Sgt. Leach was born Feb. 1, 1904, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Etham and Bessie Furr Leach.
He served in World War II, and retired after 26 years with the Army at the Remount Depot, Front Royal. Later he served 16 years with the State Department at the Beef Cattle Research Station, Front Royal.
He was a member of the Front Royal United Methodist Church, the Men’s Bible Class and the Giles B. Cook Post 53, American Legion, Front RoyaL
Surviving are his wife Sarah Williams Leach, two sons, Dennis B. Leach of San Antonio, Texas, and Randolph D. Leach of Front Royal, two daughters, Nannie M. Hazelette and Elizabeth D. Payne, both of Front Royal, a sister Ruth Allison of Warrenton, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 14 at the Front Royal United Methodist Church by the Rev. Willis Betts. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal. A flag was presented by the Giles B. Cook Post 53, American Legion.
Pallbearers were Smith Baldwin, 0. A. Norton, Roger Foster, Roy Williams, Carlton Priest and Gene Millar
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Silek, Robert Grove, Thomas M. Williams and members fo the Giles B. Cook Legion Post.
In lieu, of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County Chapter of the American Heart Fund, c/o Mrs. Nelson Longerbeam, 708 Braxton Road, Front Royal 22630.
