JAY SIMMONS
endured his drinking escapades and the beatings, and still took care of their four daughters.
According to Mr. Simmons, God miraculously saved him about nine years ago from a life of alcoholism. Since that time, he has been sharing his testimony in song and message in churches around the country.
Simmons has had opportunities in the past years to return to the professional gospel singing business*, in Nashville. “I don’t want to go back,” he says. “I’ve had some offers but I’m committed to telling my story. I’m more interested in how I can help others. I’ve got to tell my story. The singing is secondary now.”
Gid Brown pastor John Burke invites everyone to hear the personal testimony of Mr. Simmons. For additional information call 675-3662.
