within hours of the 10 p.m. shooting, and was the subject of a weekend-long manhunt which covered Rappahannock and Madison counties. He called Lt. Randy Jenkins of the Madison County Sheriffs Department late Monday morning, June 9, and “told me he wanted me to come and get him,” Lt. Jenkins said at the time.
He was placed under arrest a short time later, and has been in custody since.
In a statement prior to Brown’s sentencing, Mr. Luke said, “This is the most serious offense which can be charged: the taking of another’s life ...
