The Rappahannock Board of
Supervisors scheduled last Friday’s special meeting for the purpose of formulating an amendment to the subdivision ordinance. They announced at the regular meeting in January that they intended to move towards rezoning suitable property for landfill purposes and Friday’s work session was called to develop an amendment that would allow the supervisors to issue a conditional special use permit to control landfill activities. Instead the board reversed itself and voted to send the special use permit application from E. B. and Ruth Updike back to the Board of Zoning Appeals*
Applications for a new growers wheat and feed grain allotment will be accepted through Feb. 15. Farmers are also reminded of the eligibility requirements for a new wheat and feed grain allotment.

named to the Dean’s List at University of Virginia, Charlottesville, for the fall 1981 semester. Marion earned a 3.8 average. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Eastham of Amissville.
Realtor Eileen Day of Washington, Va., announces that Mitzie Young, realtor associate, was the top producing salesperson in her office for the second year in a row. This year Ms. Young received recognition from the Piedmont Board of Realtors for selling a million dollars worth of real estate during 1981.;
