Although Levy has often recorded with Trapezoid, live performances together are rare. According to Mr. Reisler, “The most exciting concerts we have ever given have all been with Howard. His incredible versatility and virtuosity coupled with his sense of surprise inspires the best performance in all of us.”
While best known for his harmonica and piano playing, Howard Levy plays a roomful of instruments in almost any imaginable style. This versatility has made him a very popular session and sideman. He’s worked regularly with such diverse artists as Claudia Schmidt, John Prine, Tito Puente, Pacquito D’Rivera, Steve Goodman, John McCutcheon, the Balkan Rhythm Band and of course, Trapezoid.
