Phi Kappa Phi
Cathy Ann Atkins of Flint HOI was among 20 students initiated into the national Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi in a ceremony held oo April 21 at Longwood College in Farmville.
The Society recognizes superior scholarship and character in choosing its members and requires that students be scholastically in the highest 10 percent of their class to be considered for membership. Admission is by invitation only and requires nomination by both the school’s chapter and the national Society.
Cathy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Atkins Jr. of Flint HilL She recently graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from Longwood, receiving a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in management.

“Give ’Em Hell, Harry,” a humorous play about the life of Harry S Truman, makes its regional premiere at Wayside Theater in Middletown through June 6.
The play, written by Samnel GaDu, covers many highlight* in Mr. Truman’s career.
The production plays Wednesday through Saturday at at 3 p-m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays at &30 p.m.
