John Garland Russell III, son
of Mrs. J. C. Russell Jr. of Flint Hill, was graduated from Maidson College on Sunday, May 28, with a BS degree. He is a 1962 graduate of Rappahannock High School and a graduate of Shenandoah College, Winchester. Mr. Russell is married to the former Miss Betty Lee Glascock and they live in Harrisonburg.
Rainbow trout will be released in Rush River June 6 at 12:30 p.m., according to Game Warden Irvin Kenyon. The season is not closed for this restocking.
Commencement exercises for the 1967 graduating class of Rappahannock County High School will be held in the school auditorium on Friday, June 2, beginning at 8 p.m. There will be 43 graduates.

The Rappahannock County
School Board has received permission once again to offer the community a Title I Summer Program in which all children in the county who will be entering firt grade in the county’s public school in the fall for the first time are urged to participate. The program will begin on Thursday, June 29, and will run through Thursday, July 27. July 3 and 4 will be holidays. The hours of the activities will be from 9 a.m. to noon.
Cadet Glenn Colt Hourahan of Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pa., has been given the superintendent’s award as Outstanding Plebe of the Year. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Hourahan of Mountain Shadows Farm, Washington, Va.
