Mrs. Marion Jones and daughter Miss Sarah Jones of Atlanta, Ga., are spending a few days with Mrs. L. J. Turner and Dr. and Mrs. John Turner at Waterloo Farms near Warrenton.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Slaughter of Leesburg were given a surprise 40th wedding anniversary party on Saturday afternoon at the Leesburg Fire Hall by Mrs. Betty Campbell. Among the 60 friends and relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Crews and Mrs. A. H. Keyser. Mrs. Keyser is Mr. Slaughter’s sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bridges of Reality Farm entertained 50 friends at a dinner party Saturday evening given by their daughter Brenda Cox for her husband Frank’s 40th birthday. Guests were friends from Charlottesville, as well as Mrs. Frank Cox Sr. of Manassas, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harris of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. Price Wood of Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Vaden Shields of Maryland and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wough of Culpeper. The affair was catered by The Depot Restaurant in Warrenton.
