FR vet office

Due to training and leave schedules, the Veterans Claims Office at 24 East Stonewall Drive in Front Royal, wishes to notify area veterans that a modified itinerary and restricted office hours will be necessary for the month of June.

Claims Agent Dan Smith will be in Woodstock at the American Legion Post on Muhlenberg Street from 9 till 11:30 a.m. on the 9th, 23rd, and 30th of June.

Mr. Smith will be in Luray, at the Page County Office Building, on the afternoons of June 9th and 30th from 12:30 till 3 p.m.

Office hours at the American Legion Post 21 on Berryville Pike in Winchester from 9 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. on the 3rd, 10th, and 24th of June.

The office hours at the Red Cross Office in Berryville will be from 9 a.m. till noon on the 4th of June.

“We regret any inconvenience, and we will return to our normal itinerary in July,” he added.

Oliver awarded

scholarship

The Washington Business School at Tysons Corner announced that it has awarded a tuition scholarship to Stephanie Oliver, a senior at Rappahannock County High School.

Ms. Oliver, who will be continuing her education at the Washington Business School during the 1987-88 academic year, was chosen to receive this prestigious scholarship based on the leadership, motivation, and high standards she demonstrated in both her academic performance and extracurricular activities. “I am not satisfied with just a high school diploma,” said Ms. Oliver, “I believe that this course will open doors for me. ”

Ms. Oliver currently serves as president of Rappahannock County’s Future Business Leaders Associa-. tion and has demonstrated potential in the field of business through academic excellence in her business classes, a WBS spokesman said.

Ms. Oliver’s achievements will be recognized at the RCHS awards ceremony.
