Bloodmobile
in Marshall
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the Marshall Baptist Church, on Route 17 south of the town, on Monday, June 1 between the hours ' ofland6p.m.
With blood supplies already low, the coming of the vacation season and consequent increase in automobile accidents makes blood donations ever more critical, Red Cross officials emphasized. Mrs. Hazel Williams, captain of the Marshall blood team, stressed the importance of new blood donors if the drive is to meet its goal of 45 units (pints).
Residents in the northern part of Fauquier County have not had access to the Bloodmobile since last October. Since a person can give blood every eight weeks, Mrs. Williams hopes that many more than the necessary 45 will offer blood. Last October, Marshall exceeded its goal; if all who donated then were joined by new donors, she pointed out, the goal can again be topped.
A blood donor can be anyone past the age of 17 who is in good health.
