Edward M. Jones Jr. was

among the graduate students at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, Blacksburg, who received a degree during commencement held May 28. He was awarded the master of science in agricultural economics. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones of Delamore, Washington, Va.

The Gid Brown Bible Church will have homecoming services Sunday, June 5, at 10 a.m. There will be special singing for each service. Everyone is welcome to attend the services.

At a special meeting Thursday

night, the Rappahannock School Board voted unanimously to offer Robert T. Chappell a contract as principal of the county high school for 1982-83. Chappell, currently assistant principal at Madison County High School, accepted the offer Friday evening, according to Superintendent Robert Estabrook.

Truman Keesey of Washington has been named by Governor Charles Robb to the Advisory Board on the Aging, effective April 30. The board advises the Governor on programs for older Virginians.
