Literacy volunteers to meet
Mr. Orville Bathe, chairman of the Madiaon County Literacy Volunteers, which has had a very successful history of activity and service, vnll be present at the Rappahannock meeting in Trinity Parrish Hall Friday, Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m. to give us the benefit of the Madison experience. The meeting should be important for our volunteers and all Rappahannock residents who want to learn what this help can mean to them. A cordial welcome, therefore, is extended to all who would like to attend.
Sperryville Bible School
The Sperryville United Methodist Church will have Bible School August 1-5 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The theme for the week will be “Brighten the Comer.” All children in the area are welcomed.
Frazier Family reunion
The Robert L. Frazier family reunion will be held on Sunday, July 31 at the Rappahannock Recreation Park.-Afl friends and relatives are invited. Lunch will be at 12:30.

Jenkins family reunion
The annual reunion of the family of the late Alfred and Catherine Gearing Jenkins will be held Sunday, August 14, at Rappahannock Park on Route 211, Washington. All friends and relatives are urged to attend. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.
Contemporary jazz concert
Mike Russell and Kathy Kelsh will be in concert at Horseshoe Hills presenting contemporary jazz on Sunday, July 31 from 5-9 p.m. The concert will benefit the Ronnie Pullen memorial stadium. Requested donation is $3. Horseshoe Hills is located on Rt. 211, one mile west of Sperryville.
