tne park's dining and lodging concessions. This year, sixth- and seventhgrade students from Rappahannock, Warren, Greene and Madison counties were invited to participate.
The winners were recognized at a reception at Shenandoah Park Headquarters. They were joined by parents, teachers, the park’s Chief Ranger Larry Hakel, ARA/Skyline director of operations Barry Presgraves, and Woman’s Club contest chairman Mary Jo Yates in congratulating the winning students.
In addition to the prizes received by the winning students, schools which participated in the contest received copies of several books, “The Guide to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park” by Henry Heatwole, and “Shenandoah National Park” by Ruth Radlaur.
