Another piece, “Her Life was Like a House That No One Lives in Anymore,” is a section of a dilapidated house with the walls torn away, exposing the miniature wood lathing.

Richard Craven, the exhibition’s curator, added, “All artists take life as they see it and reduce or expand it to fit their artistic concept. These artists have chosen to work on a miniature scale, compelling the viewer to focus sharply on the work. Because they are three-dimensional objects, the viewer is drawn into the work.”

The shqw will be exhibited through Sept. 11.

The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art is dedicated to supporting and showing the work of the many artists of exceptional talent who live and work in the Southeastern United States. It is located at 750 Marguerite Dr. in WinstonSalem. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
