Among the awards won by Rappahannock County 4-H’ers at the Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannoek Farm Show was a Grand Championship, won by Scotty Updike of Washington for his Black Angus steer.
On Monday evening, the Farm Show wound up its five-day run with the 4-H beef, lamb and swine sale. Scotty’s 1,160 pound steer also took top dollar in the beef bidding. It was purchased by American International Exporters of Woodville.
Eight Rappahartnock youngsters entered the 4-H animal competitions, and all offered their entries for sale on Monday evening. Listed below are the purchasers of the animals:
