Basket workshop at Middle St.

A basketweaving workshop will be held at Middle Street Gallery in August. The 3-session class will be devoted to completing an Appalachian melon basket with a wild grapevine handle and dyed reed splits. The fee is $45 and includes all materials. Vacation Bible school

Vacation Bible School featuring Gospel Bill will be held at Family Worship Center August 1-5 from 9:30 to 12:30. “Come and join us for fun. If you need a ride call 987-8014,” said a church spokesperson. The church is located on Mt. Salem Ave. in Washington, Old School building.

Trapezoid at Oasis Vineyard

Cloverbud camp planned

4-H Camp Cloverbud will be held August 5-6 at the 4-H Center in Front Royal. This camp is designed to introduce 6, 7 and 8 year olds who have not been to camp before to the overnight camping experience. The cost is $25. CulpeperFest ’88

Once again, the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor CulpeperFest ’88. The festival once again will be held at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises. This natural setting will host a variety of food, entertainment and exhibits reflecting local culture and lore. In addition, local businesses, industries, civic groups and volunteer organizations will display their “Culpeper Pride” by showing-off their growing town nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge.
