The double wedding ceremony of Theresa Lynn Haines, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Haines of Warrenton, to Larry Brown Settle, son of Effie Settle Foster of Culpeper and the late Brown Settle, took place Saturday, May 28, 1988 at Hope Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Switzer officiating.
Escorted by her father, given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal length gown of white. The bodice of the gown was made of sheer organza, lace and seeded pearls. The gown falling from the hips was made of satin which had a chapel length train trimmed in lace, the sleeves of sheer, organza, and seeded pearls came to a point at the wrist.
The sheer illusion veil with seeded pearl and gathered organza head piece with dropped pearls to one side came down below the waist.
The brides wedding bouquet was made of cascading ivy, white roses, white azaela blooms, baby’s breath and seeded pearls.
Pamela Glascock of Culpeper, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. She wore a satin formal length gown of orchid which dipped into a V at the waist, the V-shaped back had an accenting bow. Her hair was accented with baby’s breath.
Linda Haines of Warrenton, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown was identical to the matron of honor. Her hair was accented with baby’s breath.
