I’m sorry it’s in Jackson District . . . But if we’d found a suitable site in Wakefield District, I would have stood behind it. I wouldn’t have voted against it because I know we must have a landfill. It has to go somewhere.”
But no one knows yet whether the Stover tract is suitable, maintained Col. Bingham.
“On July 15th, you decided to find out,” Mr. McCarthy pointed out, referring to board’s decision to conduct additional geotechnical studies on the county-owned site. “And that’s what this independent geophysicist (employed by Joyce Engineering) is going to tell you . . . The Department of Waste Management doesn’t want us putting a liner in or even contemplating putting trash there until we know what’s going on with the rest of the site - and we won’t,” the county administrator concluded.

The University of Cincinnati has announced that Philip S. Rosemond, of Flint Hill, has been named to the school’s Dean’s List for the spring semester.
Philip is the son of Patricia Saltonstall, of Points of View Farm in Flint Hill.
