Miss Ellen Pullen and Mrs. Dyann Maddox of Culpeper hosted a baby shower for Mrs. JoAnn Baldwin Pullen on Sunday in Culpeper, approximately 20 guests attended. JoAnn received many nice gifts for the baby.
Tuesday Brownie Troop 929 with leader Mrs. Sarah Brown and assistant Mrs. Janet Smoot toured the Oasis Vineyard in Hume, where the girls were treated to a glass of Appleglow. The group later traveled to Dickey Ridge for a tour of the Center and a picnic. Later they toured the Skyline Caverns near Front Royal. The Brownies were Amanda Brown, Naomi Smoot, Anna Hitt, Stacy Payne, Fran Qrendoff, Erica Miller and Kelly Hall. Others accompaning the group were Mrs. Terry Hitt and Mrs. Brenda Payne. The Brownie Troop is participating in a summer Patch Program entitled Discover Virginia Skyline.
