The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department will be offering the state-approved course on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 28 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The 10-hour course is being given at no charge.
The class will be held at the Shadow Lawn Senior Center in Warrenton. Registration is open until Wednesday, Aug. 24. The instructor for the course will be Clarence Lawson, who is certified by the National Rifle Association. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department, (703) 349-1910.
