Saucy Baked Steak 3 1/2 pound boneless sirloin steak, 3 inches thick 1 tablespoon Cajun Meat Magic 1 large onion 3 tablespoons butter, melted 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 cup chili sauce 1 green pepper, thinly sliced in rings Fresh ground pepper Fresh chopped parsley Optional Sauce: 1/2 cup chili sauce 3 tablespoons melted butter 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 1/2 cup heavy cream 1 tablespoon brandy (optional) Preheat broiler until very hot. Place steak in shallow baking pan. Rub Cajun Meat Magic evenly on both sides of steak. Sear steak quickly on both sides 4 inches under heat. Drain off fat. Reduce heat to 425 degrees. Combine onion, butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and chili sauce. Place green pepper rings on steak. Pour sauce over meat and grind fresh ground pepper on top. Bake 45-50 minutes for rare. Slice and sprinkle lavishly with chopped parsley. Makes: 6 servings Sauce: Combine chili sauce, butter, worchestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, heavy cream and brandy (optional). Heat mixture. Whisk all together and drizzle over sliced steak. Sprinkle chopped parsley over all.
